Net Metering

Net metering credits you for surplus solar energy exported to the grid. Your DISCOM replaces your single-direction meter with a bi-directional meter that records both import and export.

Typical process in MP

1. DISCOM application filed alongside installation
2. DISCOM load approval (usually 2–4 weeks)
3. Commissioning inspection by DISCOM engineer
4. Meter replacement with bi-directional unit
5. First net-metered bill in the following cycle

Net-metering activation cost: ₹12,000 (DISCOM fee, separate from installation). Smart-meter inflow/outflow activation: ₹1,000.
